Mental health care center
We believe your mental health is as important as your physical health. Our experienced physicians and staff provide excellent inpatient and outpatient mental health therapies and offer their expertise when patients need it most.
Our comprehensive care helps people who are experiencing mental or emotional issues that interfere with their daily functioning. We provide our services in a safe, restorative environment at our West Pasco campus.

Our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and behavioral health staff uses a holistic approach to care. We're dedicated to providing comprehensive care with programs for patients and their family members. To this end, some of the inpatient and outpatient behavioral health treatments and programs we offer include:
Senior mental health
Our senior mental health program was designed around the unique needs and interests of patients 65 years old and older. We strive to help our senior patients cope with the behavioral health symptoms that are interfering with their daily lives.
Inpatient behavioral health care
Our behavioral health professionals are available 24/7 to provide immediate evaluations. Our inpatient behavioral health program helps patients overcome symptoms of mental health disorders through group and individual therapy.
Outpatient behavioral health care
Our psychiatrists and behavioral health staff build therapeutic relationships with our patients based on validation. By understanding and accepting our patients' experiences, we develop trust that enables us to help them in their time of need.
Intensive outpatient program (IOP)
In this outpatient mental health care program, patients are provided with a safe, therapeutic environment while working with staff that encourages and promotes recovery. Our IOP can be an initial point of care, a step up from routine outpatient services or a step down from an inpatient stay or residential care. We offer group therapy to assist with coping skills, assertiveness, goal setting and co-occurring disorders. Adolescent intensive outpatient program (IOP)

The path to feeling better
This program includes 12 hours of therapeutic group activities per week.

Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)
ECT is a modern, effective medical treatment provided by a dedicated team of professionals. ECT is given as a course of treatments on an inpatient or outpatient basis. Individuals age 18 years or above who may benefit include:
- Patients who suffer from depression, mania or schizophrenia and have not responded or only partially responded to medications and therapy
- Patients who have had multiple hospitalizations and regress rapidly into crisis
- Patients who are in need of rapid, definitive response because of the severity of a psychiatric or medical condition
- Patients experiencing symptoms of catatonia or neuroleptic malignant syndrome

Partial hospitalization program (PHP)
In our PHP, group members participate in four groups each day with an emphasis on mental health and coping. The groups focus on a variety of subjects designed to aid in understanding and managing symptoms effectively. Individuals receive ongoing monitoring and treatment from a psychiatrist, licensed therapist and registered nurse. Lunch and some snacks are provided during the program. Family involvement and education
We offer education and therapy to help families understand and face mental health issues together. Our educational materials cover medications and common behavioral issues.
Our staff offers services for people who have loved ones in our care for behavioral health conditions. These family services provide many benefits for patients and their families, including effective methods to:
- Support someone with a mental health condition
- Interact effectively with behavioral health professionals
- Deal with the problems that arise when living with or supporting someone with a mental health condition
- Take care of themselves emotionally, mentally and physically
National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) support groups
NAMI offers support groups and public education efforts focused on educating people about mental illness and offering resources to those in need. The local NAMI affiliate, NAMI Pasco County, provides support groups for people with a mental health condition and their family members.
