At Medical Center of Trinity, we are proud to be the first in the Tampa Bay Region to introduce Robotic-Assisted Coronary/Vascular Interventions through a Vascular Robotic System.
The Vascular Robotic System offers interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists robotic precision when controlling guide catheters, guidewires, balloons and stents during a cardiac or vascular procedure.
This is the only robotic-assisted coronary/vascular system cleared by the FDA and has many advantages for both patients and doctors. Patients receive the benefit of robotic precision in positioning balloons and stents. For the physician, the benefits include sitting in a comfortable radiation-free workstation, designed to reduce orthopedic strain.
The system combines the benefits of coronary angioplasty with the precision of robotics to help widen clogged arteries and restore healthy blood flow to the heart.
Think of the Vascular Robotic System as an extension of your physicians hands, providing robotic precision and positioning of the guide catheters, guidewires, balloons and stents.
