Pasco, Hillsborough & Pinellas, Fl — Medical Center of Trinity announces the appointment of Bernadette Melendez, MBA, BSN, RN, CEN as Manager of its ER 24/7 in Lutz. Mrs. Melendez initially began her career in corporate accounting and human resources until 2006 when she began her nursing career. She received an AS in nursing in 2006 and a BSN from Ohio University in 2012. She later went on to receive an MBA in Health Care Administration in 2017 from Ohio University.
Mrs. Melendez comes to Medical Center of Trinity from Mease Countryside Hospital, Safety Harbor Florida where she served as CN II in the ER and assistant nurse manager on the PCU. She has extensive experience in the emergency management having served as preceptor, charge nurse and magnet champion for a 42 bed Level II trauma center, and charge nurse and preceptor for a free standing emergency room.
“Bernadette’s experience in accounting, human resources, and emergency nursing has prepared her well for the role of manager at our newest freestanding emergency department in Lutz,” said Nancy Maysilles, Chief Nursing Officer of Medical Center of Trinity.
