Spirit of Women brings together traditional women’s health services at Medical Center of Trinity with a focus on living a healthier lifestyle, preventative care and activities designed to celebrate the ‘spirit’ of all women.

Fearless Factor: Embracing Life with Bravado

Learn how to cope with life’s medical emergencies including how to navigate the emergency room and understand complicated medical tests when your health is threatened. This seminar will also cover topics on personal and family security in today’s high-risk world.

The Hoopla About Pelvic Health

Join our circle of women “in the know” about complete pelvic health. Learn how these topics affect our confidence and quality of life:

Downsize Diabetes

Say thanks for the gift of good health and join Medical Center of Trinity, and the 850,000 people around the country in their pledge to help downsize diabetes. This class teaches the basic principles of nutrition, including how food affects blood glucose.

Don’t Miss a Beat

This program will raise awareness around undetected cardiovascular disease through materials that detail signs, symptoms and risks. Medical Center of Trinity will make it simple for women to start a discussion with their doctor by providing a check list of risk factors for their next appointment.

Trusting What Your Tummy Tells You

Digestion plays a significant role in staying healthy.  This seminar will explore both diagnosis and treatment options for digestive disorders.  Women will learn how to listen to and trust the knowledge their body provides to maintain overall health and quality of life.

What Women Put Up With: Everyone Else Gets One, Do I Need A Hysterectomy?

The removal of the uterus and can be a life-saving operation for women with certain types of cancer or uterine hemorrhage.  Women will learn about abnormal uterine bleeding and non cancerous growths of muscle tissue in and around the uterus (fibroids), and the falling of the uterus from its normal position into or outside of the vagina (uterine prolapse).

Day of Dance for Your Health

Day of Dance is a national program of the Spirit of Women Hospital Network.  Medical Center of Trinity and Spirit of Women Hospitals across the country will join together to take a stand against heart disease.  This event combines the fun of dancing to different kinds of music, such as ballroom dancing, rock ‘n roll, jazz, salsa, swing, and hip-hop, with health screenings and consumer education on heart disease and other important health topics.

Spirit Girls’ Night OutSM

This fun and informative event is designed to move women towards better overall health and vibrant living.  Health education, health screenings, one-on-one consultations with a nurse or doctor, and fun activities will be woven throughout a three-hour evening event to emphasize the importance of women’s health.
