Inquiries about services are strictly confidential and can be made by professionals, family members, friends or the individual. Referrals can be made by managed care companies and professionals. The Behavioral Health Center accepts Medicare and Medicaid. Most insurance companies provide benefits for our services.
Our program offers a safe and caring setting that includes the following:
- Daily sessions with a psychiatrist
- Daily group therapy sessions with Masters level therapists
- Family therapy
- Intensive medication management
- Journaling assignments
- 24 hour nursing care by registered nurses with certification in psychiatric care
- Other medical services offered within the hospital that may be necessary
Specially-Trained Staff
Psychiatrists lead the interdisciplinary treatment team consisting of licensed clinical social workers, licensed mental health counselors, certified addiction professionals, case managers, registered nurses and mental health technicians.
Program Design
The Behavioral Health program is located in a medical and surgical hospital setting and utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), a cognitive-behavioral therapeutic approach. Patient outcomes are optimized through individualized treatment in a dignified, therapeutic environment including individual, family, and group counseling. Serving the Pasco, Hernando, and northern Pinellas Counties for over 30 years, our inpatient unit is able to care for adults 18 and over with special attention given to issues of the geriatric population.
